My name is Steve and I'll be your personal photographer !

 

A little about myself. No ones likes their pictures to be taken by a total stranger.

I was born in Paris, France about 30 years ago and I came to your great country in 2008. I have a Master of Engineering from MIT and my real life job has nothing to do with photography (well that's not completely true. I have to take pictures of some of the least glamorous and interesting things you can think about, but we can discuss that another time).

When I was 13, my very first camera was an Olympus, it was a film camera. I didn't really like it because well, you could only see the results after having your mum process the film somewhere and there was no enough room for the fast learning I was imagining. But then I got my first digital camera and it was a Minolta F300. I was just obsessed with it. I was just taking pictures of anything: toothbrushes, keys, snow, trees, water, candles... I was lucky enough this camera had manual exposure so I started to play with exposure settings. I've always liked to push the boundaries of the camera and see how little light the device could capture. (It's actually still the very first thing I do when I get a new camera, lens, or smartphone.)

Thirteen years later, at least thirteen cameras and precisely 83,185 photos later (I just checked), I'm here on the world wide web talking about myself, ready to offer my services to the world (OK, just to Boston).
